To improve diverse representation at WordCamp US (WCUS), our Programming Team has looked into the barriers that hold different groups back. The largest of which is the cost of hotel and airfare/travel.

Our Idea

While WCUS can’t cover these costs, we can set up a connecting point between these speakers and companies that would like to support them.

How You Can Help

These companies would be responsible for creating their own set of qualifications, managing any transfer of funds, and working directly with the speakers. WCUS’s role will be encouraging speakers who need financial support to connect with companies who can offer that support.

Everyone Benefits

Every company who signs up will be listed on the WordCamp US website, so that speakers will be able to reach out to the designated contact person.
