Using the VOW Digital Health System

Out of an abundance of caution and to make this event as accessible as possible to those attendees that have additional health concerns, WordCamp US 2022 will be a masked event that will require either a negative COVID test or vaccination to attend.

Thank you for agreeing to and cooperating with our COVID policy

WordCamp US is partnering with VOW Digital Health, who has built a secure, confidential system for you to safely upload your documents for verification by trained professionals.

This allows you to easily comply with the policy and keep your sensitive information confidential.

Learn more about their system at https://vow.app/

To attend WordCamp US 2022, everyone must provide proof of ONE of the following using the VOW system:

  • Fully Completed COVID Vaccine Record – all doses have been completed no less than 14 days prior to the event date and boosters are not needed to comply.
  • Negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Result – Take a self-administered test no earlier than Thursday, Sep. 8. At-home tests are accepted. Simply write a date on it with a Sharpie so we know when it was taken.

These arrangements have been chosen for the COVID-19 health and safety of all attendees, and no exceptions will be made.

Data Security

VOW Digital Health does not share or sell anyone’s information. The gathered information is strictly used for COVID clearing for WCUS 2022. After the event is over VOW hard purges the uploads. The data you submit is only used to verify names and birth dates.

Read their privacy policy to learn more.

Before the Event

For a visual representation of this process, please refer to this Infographic for more information on how to COVID-clear for this event.

Setup Your VOW Account: On your smartphone, use this VOW Digital Health Event Link and follow steps to set up an account. Should you need it, the Health Protocol ID is 46V-L5R

If you do not register with VOW ahead of time and upload your credentials in time for verification, you will be able to do so and, if needed, take a test on site. We have a separate area near registration set aside for just this. You will need to meet this protocol in order to register and attend the event.

Upload Your ID: Upload a photo of your Driver’s License or other Government-Issued ID.

If you prefer to opt out of providing a government issued ID, follow this process.

Upload One of these Credentials:

  • a Fully Completed COVID-19 Vaccine Record
    • all doses have been completed no less than 14 days prior to the event date
    • boosters are not needed to comply
  • your Negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test result
    • taken no earlier than Thursday, September 8
    • has the date taken written on it
    • at-home tests are accepted.

Wait to be Verified

The trained professionals at VOW will certify your results and send an SMS to you when your documents, or test, have been approved. Once cleared, you will see this on your dashboard:

At Registration

Using your smartphone, click the link that’s sent to you via SMS and show the VOW Pass that appears to the volunteers. Once you’ve been checked and approved, you will be able to get your badge.

If you don’t have your smartphone and registered with the VOW system on your desktop, volunteers and VOW staff will be able to check the system’s dashboard to verify that you have been cleared to register.

If you did not sign up for the VOW system ahead of time, please bring your proof of vaccination and/or negative test to registration. Staff can help you sign up on site.

During the Event

As part of our COVID Policy, all attendees have agreed to wear a mask over their mouth and nose. Staff from VOW will be onsite to remind attendees to wear their mask appropriately.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
