During endless, sun-soaked days Joe A Simpson Jr (He, Him) works as part of the Digital Strategy Team at Metro Los Angeles, one of the largest transit agencies in the World, fighting the good fight to convince solo drivers to Go Metro.

During a 90-day leave of absence to heal emotionally and physically from a heart event, he reaffirmed his love for the WordPress Community by giving back at a fast and furious pace.

Some highlights include serving as a Co-Team Rep on the Make Accessibility Team; led the effort to bring his region’s first WordCamp to a smaller town (Santa Clarita, CA 2019-2021); organizes three WordPress-based Meetups (BlackPress, WordPress, and Elementor); and has presented or volunteered at over 25+ WordCamps, Meetups, and WordPress events all over the (virtual) world in the past four years.
