Getting to the Gaylord National
WordCamp US 2023 (WCUS) will take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center (Gaylord National) in National Harbor, Maryland, which is in the Eastern Daylight Time Zone (UTC -4) and is close to all three of the area’s major airports:
- Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) (7.7 miles, 12.3 kilometers);
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) (36.9 miles, 59.4 kilometers); and
- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) (38.9 miles, 62.6 kilometers)
These airports are serviced by taxis, rideshare, and public or paratransit transportation options to get you to the Gaylord National.
Public Transportation Options
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) offers trip planning for Metrobus, Metrorail, and MetroAccess paratransit services, all of which are accessible. Using public transit will require some walking and multi-vehicle transfers with travel times based on several variables including desired arrival or departure times for all three airports.
Checking into the Gaylord
Hotel guests at the Gaylord National can use the main entrance on Waterfront Street for registration/check-in located at the center of the venue. To avoid long lines during check-in, the Gaylord National recommends using the Marriott Bonvoy app on the Apple Store or Google Play. Two banks of elevators flank the open-air Atrium to take you to your rooms.
Getting around the venue
The venue is accessible for attendees with wheelchairs or motorized devices and has cut curbs, elevators, escalators, stairs, and ramps to help you move between different areas of the resort. Please do contact us if we can be of assistance in any way.
Venue and Parking
Parking is available at the Gaylord National at a daily rate of $24 plus tax for self-parking, or $49 plus tax for valet parking. To receive the $24 parking rate, visit the Attendee Services Desk (across from the registration desk) to receive a one-time use parking voucher, for use upon exiting the Gaylord parking garage. There are additional parking structures nearby on St. George Blvd and Harborview Drive.
