Great news! Our Call for Speakers deadline has been extended to May 31st!
That gives even more time for you to build the perfect pitch!
Get Inspired!
Find Your Passion
Ask yourself this: what – in the wide world of WordPress – are you passionate about?
It can be anything: Image optimization! Distributed teamwork! Community engagement! Whatever it is, pick one thing!
Got it? Good.
Could you fit your thoughts on that topic into a 15 minute lighting talk?
How about a longer 45 minute session?
What about a 90 minute deep dive?
If you answered “Yes!” to any of those questions, we would love to hear from you!
Look To The Past
Every year we look for a variety of topics from a variety of presenters. We want your voice to be heard!
You might find it helpful to review the schedules from previous years’ WordCamp US events to get a feel for what the organizing team (and the audience!) is looking for.
Previous WordCamp US Agendas:
Your Voice Matters
Our goal is to create a speaker lineup that is every bit as diverse and welcoming as the WordPress community itself. We welcome new voices and encourage presenters of all skill levels to apply.
The Diverse Speaker Training Group has several active programs and provides many resources dedicated to helping speakers from marginalized and underrepresented groups get involved at WordCamp events.
Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, your voice matters. We would love to welcome you to the stage in National Harbor in August!
Travel Grants Available
Travel expenses can represent a significant barrier to speaking for many. Fortunately, assistance programs are available!
Kim Parsell Memorial Scholarship
The Kim Parsell Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to WordPress contributors attending their first WordCamp US.
If you identify as female, have never attended a WordCamp US before, and require financial assistance to attend, please consider applying! The 2023 scholorship application deadline is Monday, June 12th at 11:00pm Eastern Time.
MasterWP Travel Grants
MasterWP has partnered with several companies within the WordPress ecosystem to launch a travel grant program for speakers and organizers from underrepresented groups.
If your employer does not pay for travel to WordCamp US 2023, you identify as a member of an underrepresented group, and you are selected as a speaker at WordCamp US 2023, you may be eligible to apply for their travel grant program.
Please note: MasterWP, its travel grant partners, and this grant program are not affiliated with WordCamp US.
Next Steps
We’ll be reaching out to all speaker applicants throughout June and July as we build our schedule, and will launch our completed agenda later in the year as we approach WordCamp US in August.
