If you’re usually pretty content with whatever coffee is handed to you by your hotel, conference, or even big name coffee chain with a mermaid; then this post isn’t for you. (You’ll have no problem finding coffee.)
This post is for the amateur baristas who don’t mind elaborate processes, exact measurements, and feats of strength just to brew a fine cup of joe. Even if you brought your Aeropress (and frankly, why wouldn’t you), this post will help you find the best coffee shops during WordCamp US.
The Well Coffeehouse
Address: 147B 4th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37219
Opens: 7AM (8AM on Saturday)
Website: http://www.wellcoffeehouse.com
Description: Don’t tell anyone, but this was the secret getaway where I stopped for coffee and scone almost every morning. This place has drip or pour over options with regular seasonal bean rotations. The employees were always friendly and it seems like they’re working towards a common good. “The Well” was founded to help people have access to clean drinking water. To that end, they have helped dig over 23 wells all over the world. ❤️
Frothy Monkey
Address: 235 5th Ave N, Nashville, TN
Opens: 7AM
Website: http://www.frothymonkey.com
Description: The Frothy Monkey is a local chain that roasts their own beans. It’s worth checking out if you want a good latte and a delicious brunch. During peak hours expect to wait 15+ minutes in line before placing your order (and be prepared to jump on any table that opens up).
Bonus: Check out their weekly public cupping at their roasting facility every Friday at 2pm. (RSVP recommended.)
Dunn Brothers Coffee
Address: 401 Church St, Nashville, TN 37219
Opens: 6AM (7AM on Saturday)
Website: https://dunnbrothers.com
Description: Dunn Bros. is a locally owned chain from Saint Paul, MN. Their unique on-site roasting allows them to provide the freshest coffee possible. As a result, it’s consistently the best drip coffee I’ve ever had. And their Infinite Black Cold Press is strong and refreshing. Pro-tip: If they say the pistachio muffins just came out of the oven, get two – you won’t regret it.
Bongo Java
Address: 364 5th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
Opens: 6AM
Website: https://www.bongojava.com
Description: Don’t have time to go across town for coffee? Bongo Java is directly across the street to the east from the convention center. There are lots of great places to sit if you need to work or grab coffee with a client. Bongo Java roasts their own beans and the baked goods come from their bakery.
Killebrew
Address: 401 11th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
Opens: 6:30AM
Website: http://www.killecoffee.com
Description: Killebrew is a little off the beaten path, but not very far from the convention center. This cozy location has tasty options, but I suggest taking advantage of the location and grabbing coffee before waiting in line for the best breakfast Nashville has to offer at Biscuit Love Gulch.
CREMA
Address: 15 Hermitage Ave, Nashville, TN 37204
Opens: 7AM
Website: https://crema-coffee.com
Description: CREMA roasts their own beans. You can visit their coffee shop, but you may find their beans at bakeries and restaurants all over Nashville.
Cafe Coco
Address: 210 Louise Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
Opens: 24hrs (7am Sun-Wed)
Website: http://cafecoco.com
Description: Cafe Coco is eclectic and a little far away from the convention center, but they’re open 24 hours Thursday through Saturday. They know how to pull a legitimate Italian espresso (or a beer if that’s your preference).

I am new and I’d love to come to the World Camp on Nashville. I don’t see any information on hotels or where the sessions will be held. I’m sorry if I just over looked it.
Hi Gloria, session information isn’t yet available. If you subscribe to email updates using the form at the bottom of the website, you’ll get updates on when the schedule becomes available via email. I really enjoyed Steadfast in German Town last year, as well as Barista Parlor
This is missing Just Love! Great coffee and food there. Everything is made on a waffle iron.
+1 to both The Well and Frothy Monkey.
Frothy Monkey has good food and there is more seating upstairs
