WordCamps are a casual, community-organized events that focus on WordPress, the software behind 28% of the internet. Everyone from the users, to designers, to developers are invited to attend, participate, and contribute their expertise to the WordPress open source project. The first WordCamp was in San Francisco and was organized by Matt Mullenweg, the co-founder of the open-source blogging platform, WordPress.

WordCamp San Francisco had become the go to WordCamp for North America, but upon realizing we were outgrowing the space, the event evolved into what we now know as WordCamp US. Under its new name, WordCamp US was first held in Philadelphia, PA in 2015 followed by 2016 before finding a new home in Nashville, TN for 2017 and 2018.

WordCamp US 2018 will be held  at the Music City Center in the heart of downtown Nashville. With an estimated attendance of 2,000.
