Call for Sponsors

This year’s WordCamp US will be hosted in Portland, Oregon. WordCamp US is the premiere North American event for web professionals. This event will include one Contributor Day, one Showcase Day (a day devoted to showcasing and exploring the most innovative uses of WordPress), and two days of informative sessions from some of the best presenters in the WordPress community.

Without our generous sponsors, WordCamp US would not be affordable to the vast majority of the WordPress community. A $100 ticket provides four full days for attendees to gain insight from our speakers, network with others, and contribute to the WordPress open source project. By sponsoring WordCamp US you further the project’s mission to democratize publishing through open source, GPL software.

Please note that filling out this form does not guarantee a sponsorship. All sponsors must be 100% GPL Compliant. Sponsor selection is at the discretion of the Sponsorship team and we do give some measure of preference to our long-standing sponsors.

Sponsorship Levels

Super Admin $75,000 (Sold Out)

Super Admin sponsors are tremendous supporters of WordCamp US. Super Admin sponsors will have a significant presence in the sponsor hall, and be prominently featured on the official WordCamp US website. Here are some details on how Super Admin sponsors receive recognition:

  • Prominent, largest logo and link on official WordCamp US website.
  • First option to purchase branded signage packages and add-on opportunities.
  • Exclusive post on official WordCamp US website that features your organization.
  • Thank you posts for your individual brand from official WordCamp US social media account. Sponsors may provide first drafts of these posts to the Communications team, subject to their approval.
  • Up to 300 words and one image in an email to attendees, sent with other Super Admin and Admin-level sponsors.
  • Acknowledgment and thanks during opening remarks.
  • Option for raffle during closing remarks. Using creative, clear messaging, take up to 60 seconds to be an on-stage presence for brand, building brand loyalty by declaring a winner of your raffle (raffle winners will collect their prize off-stage at a predetermined location)
  • Largest logo on the “thank you sponsors” signage in the sponsor hall.
  • Inclusion of your logo in the largest size on the between-session slide at the event and on the live stream.
  • Large Booth (approximately 30 ft by 20 ft) with prime placement in the sponsor hall for two days of conversing with attendees, recruiting, and meeting and greeting (September 19-20).
  • Largest logo on the “thank you sponsors” signage in the venue.
  • Up to eight (8) complimentary tickets for your team to the WordCamp US Event and up to four (4) tickets to all associated sponsor-related events. Additionally, you will receive a reservation code for purchasing additional Sponsor tickets to ensure these additional attendees receive sponsor badges.

Admin: $35,000 (2 Remaining)

Admin sponsors are major supporters of WordCamp US. Admin sponsors will be acknowledged in Opening Remarks, have a notable presence in the venue, and be prominently featured on the official WordCamp US website. Here are some details on how Admin sponsors receive recognition:

  • Prominent, large logo and link on official WordCamp US website.
  • Exclusive post on official WordCamp US website that features your organization.
  • Thank you posts for your individual brand from official WordCamp US social media account. Sponsors may provide first drafts of these posts to the Communications team, subject to their approval
  • Up to 250 words in an email to attendees, sent with other Super Admin and Admin-level sponsors.
  • Acknowledgment during Opening Remarks on first programming day.
  • Option for raffle during closing remarks. Using creative, clear messaging, take up to 30 seconds to be an on-stage presence for your brand, building brand loyalty by declaring a winner of your raffle (raffle winners will collect their prize off-stage at a predetermined location)
  • Large logo on the “thank you sponsors” signage in the venue.
  • Inclusion of your large-sized logo on the between-session slide at the event and on the live stream.
  • Medium Booth (approximately 20 ft by 20 ft) in the sponsor hall for two days of conversing with attendees, recruiting, and meeting and greeting (September 19-20).
  • Up to six (6) complimentary tickets for your team to the WordCamp US Event and up to three (3) tickets to all associated sponsor-related events. Additionally, you will receive a reservation code for purchasing additional Sponsor tickets to ensure these additional attendees receive sponsor badges.

Editor: $15,000 (11 Remaining)

Editor sponsors are valued supporters of WordCamp US. Editor sponsors will have space in the sponsor hall and on the official WordCamp US website, as described below:

  • Prominent, medium logo and link on official WordCamp US website.
  • Post on official WordCamp US website that features all the Editor sponsors.
  • Thank you posts from official WordCamp US social media account, including your brand in a group post recognizing all the Editor sponsors.
  • Medium logo on the “thank you sponsors” signage in the sponsor hall.
  • Small Booth (approximately 10 ft by 10 ft) in the conference hall for two days of conversing with attendees, recruiting, and meeting and greeting (September 19-20).
  • Up to four (4) complimentary tickets for your team to the WordCamp US Event and up to two (2) tickets to all associated sponsor-related events. Additionally, you will receive a reservation code for purchasing additional Sponsor tickets to ensure these additional attendees receive sponsor badges.

Author: $5,000 (7 Remaining)

We deeply appreciate all of our Author sponsors. Author sponsors will have space in the sponsor hall and on the official WordCamp US website, as described below:

  • Prominent, small logo and link on official WordCamp US website.
  • Post on official WordCamp US website that features all the Author sponsors.
  • Thank you posts from official WordCamp US social media account, including your brand in a group post recognizing all the Author sponsors.
  • 4′ table with 2 chairs in the conference hall for two days of conversing with attendees, recruiting, and meeting and greeting (September 19-20). Vertical rollup banners limited to 6′(h) x 3′ (w). Swag and monitors limited to the tabletop.
  • Up to two (2) complimentary tickets for your team to the WordCamp US Event and one (1) ticket to all associated sponsor-related events. Additionally, you will receive a reservation code for purchasing additional Sponsor tickets to ensure these additional attendees receive sponsor badges.

Add-On Opportunities

WCUS Social Event: $25,000 per sponsor
(2 Total)

Limited to Super Admin, Admin, and Editor sponsors.

Complete WCUS Social Event co­-branding shared with one other Sponsor including but not limited to:

  • Sponsor signage at the party venue entry.
  • Co-branded signage on food and beverage tables.
  • Co-branded signage on napkins and other available collateral.

Coffee Breaks: $10,000 per sponsor

Limited to Super Admin, Admin, and Editor sponsors.

  • Complete coffee break co­-branding of coffee cups, napkins, and other available collateral.

Pickleball Court: $6,000 per sponsor
(1 Total)

Limited to Super Admin, Admin, and Editor sponsors.

  • New to WordCamp US, we have the opportunity to sponsor an indoor pickleball court, near the sponsor exhibition hall.

What to Expect Next?

After applying to become a sponsor, you can expect the following:

  • Within 1 week, someone from the sponsorship team will reach out to confirm receipt of your application and begin the sponsorship review process. This includes review of adherence to the GPL.
  • Within 1-2 weeks, you can expect to receive invoices/agreements for the sponsorship. Once the sponsorship agreement is signed, we’ll share the reservation link for the WordCamp US hotel block for your team.
  • Within approximately 3 weeks, you can expect to receive a full sponsorship packet, including:
    • Access to Fern, our Event Services partner
    • Floor plans, booth sizes (inclusive of height and orientation), pre-made booth kit options, furniture, lighting and more.
    • More information regarding additional add-on opportunities,
  • Access to our Sponsorship Team and other sponsors in a shared Slack channel.
