Congratulations! You’ve decided to attend this year’s WordCamp U.S. online conference. We’re so glad you’ll be joining us, along with about 2,000 of our closest friends and fans. It’s going to be a jam-packed day, filled with delight, wonderment, and yes, a lot of WordPress!
But now what?
You’re going to have to pace yourself, and to do that you’ll need a plan. This WCUS is unlike any other because we’ve condensed it into a single day and moved it online. So without further ado, here are our three top tips for goal setting.

It’s tempting to think of code when we think of contributing.
But as you already know:
The contributing picture is way bigger.
It takes a lot more than code to get a WordPress release out the door, to keep the event calendars full, to help users learn. And to do all that in hundreds of languages that are not English (or PHP!)

WCUS 2021 is fast approaching, and if you’d like to help us spread the word, this week is for you!!!
Podcasters and media outlets have ONE WEEK — this week, the week of 8/30 – 9/3 — to join the WCUS 2021 team as Media Partners. If that’s you and you’re interested, simply email and we’ll be in touch.
Curious what’s involved?
Media Partners will be asked to:
- Introduce WCUS 2021 to your audience in whatever format fits best (blog post, podcast, etc.)
- Before October 1, post about the event on social media
- share our speaker lineup
- encourage your audience to get tickets
- On October 1, post on Twitter at least three times about the event
Media Partners will get:
- Your logo on a dedicated Media Partner page on the WCUS website
- At least one social post announcing you as a Media Partner
- At least one social post thanking you for being a Media Partner
- Access to available speakers and organizers for additional content creation purposes
- A dedicated team member, Cate DeRosia, to answer your questions and help facilitate requests
