WCUS 2021 wapuu reads a map out in the woods

Meet WCUS 2021 Wapuu!

Wapuu got hold of the road map and has been exploring all the national parks along the way. As a matter of fact, it’s working its way down the two rivers that our speakers are on! The Yukon and Columbia.

The WCUS 2021 Wapuu sports a backpack, WordPress ball cap, and is carrying the WCUS roadmap. Set in the woods of a National Park, our Wapuu is exploring the great outdoors.

Mel Choyce-Dwan had this to say:

This year’s WordCamp draws on travel and exploration as a theme. It’s been a rough year, and the first thing I did once I was fully vaccinated was take a short vacation in nature. Some time in the woods after being cooped up for so long was therapeutic, and I wanted that to come through with the WCUS design this year. We live on a vast, beautiful continent, with lots of wide open spaces to explore. Designed by Alyssa Hogan, this year’s Wapuu is doing just that, going around through National Parks and beloved natural sites. We hope that as you enjoy WCUS this year, you can take some time to enjoy the outdoors too.

Great thanks to Mel for this year’s site theme, and to Alyssa for the adorable woodsy Wapuu!
