Call for Speakers — Opening Soon
We are really excited to announce this year’s call for speakers. Of course, this is an exciting time every year, but this year we are hoping to spice things up a bit! Our call for speakers will be opening on Monday, March 11, 2019. You will have 5 weeks to submit your creative talk ideas as the deadline will be Monday, April 15, 2019.

November 2019 marks the 5th year for WordCamp US. Like many events, WordCamp US is evolving over time. Over the past year we’ve thought a lot about suggestions from the community and lessons learned from past events.
In our after-event recaps, two of the things that became immediately clear were that WordCamp US needed to move its dates and to increase its team members.

Happy New Year! WordCamp US 2019 preparations are underway! After much discussion at WCUS 2018 contributor day and the following weeks, we’ve decided to restructure our organizing team. One change will be to increase the number of volunteer organizers. In years past, we’ve averaged about 20 organizers. This year, our goal is to expand the team to include at least 50 organizers! Because we are adding so many more team members, we are also updating some of the roles and responsibilities of our teams to ensure maximum collaboration, transparency, and efficiency.
