Need some help with a website? Have questions about something WordPress-related? Look no further than the WordPress Support Desk at WCUS!
Formerly called the Happiness Bar, we’ve renamed this area of WordCamp the Support Desk so that more people will understand what it is and how to find it. The Support Desk is a standard offering at WordCamps the world over. It’s a great place to ask any WordPress questions you may have.
Whether you are new to WordPress or you’re more advanced, there’s a place at the Support Desk for you. It can be a great place to have code reviewed and to give back to the community.
It’s staffed by volunteers (at WordCamp, that’s the standard operating procedure) who are willing and broadly able to help you solve your WordPress questions (within reason). Being volunteers, they may not have all the answers you need, and they won’t do your work for you, but they can point you in the right direction.
You can often find speakers heading to the Support Desk after their presentation. Want to further explore one of their ideas? Do you have really specific questions? Sit down with them and ask.
Whether you have a question you need answered, code you’d like someone to see, or you just want to get some work done, this is the place to be. Come and ask questions, answer questions, and meet new friends.
The Support Desk is inside the Sponsor Hall, just as you walk in the main entrance.
A Note: Not all problems have quick or easy solutions. Although the Support Desk can get you going in the right direction, you might need to continue the conversation after WordCamp. And that might cost money. Volunteers will do their best to help you as much as possible over the weekend. But, sometimes, you need a professional.
