He discovered WordPress in 2004 as editor for the school paper, earned a degree in computer science and English, and then built a web agency that shipped hundreds of sites before moving into marketing. He joined Automattic in 2019, where he works to promote the WordPress project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A longtime contributor, Nicholas has spent the last several years helping organize and market the project&#8217;s flagship events, including WordCamp Asia, Europe, US, and State of the Word.
