Gale Wallace is an accomplished web professional with over 25 years of experience in web development and a deep passion for the WordPress ecosystem. As a Customer Success Manager at Pantheon.io, a leading WebOps platform supporting WordPress and Drupal, she partners with clients to optimize site performance, improve security, and strategize enhancements.
With over 20 years in web development, including 12+ years specializing in WordPress, Gale brings deep technical expertise in UX/UI, full-stack development, SEO, and e-commerce systems. She also teaches WordPress development and digital marketing in university-level Digital Marketing programs.
In addition to her day job, Gale is the founder of GWallace Media LLC, which includes freelance services in photography, web design, e‑commerce (WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy), and digital marketing. Prior to joining Pantheon, she led web services at Rockford University for 13 years, managing brand, content, and technical strategy. Her broad toolkit spans team leadership, PPC, Google Analytics, SEO, accessibility, and performance-focused web development.
Gale’s volunteer journey with WordPress events spans nearly a decade—beginning as an attendee, then joining the photography team at WordCamp US in 2017, and eventually taking on a key organizer role in 2023. Today, she proudly serves as one of the Lead Organizers for WCUS 2025. She also contributes significantly to Digital Collegium, having served for more than five years on the volunteer and technology committees. Gale has also mentored many over the years in their WordPress career journeys. Her dedication is further supported by Pantheon’s sponsorship of her weekly three-hour contribution to various WordPress initiatives, including Core, Docs, Marketing, Openverse, Photo, TV, Test, Themes, and Training.
Outside of work and WordPress, Gale sustains her creative spirit as a photographer, videographer, and drone pilot. She also cherishes time with her husband, three adult children, spouses, and beloved grandchildren. She thrives on family adventures, travel, continual learning, and giving leadership that uplifts teams from beside them, not above them.
