WordCamp US combines the best of both worlds: an in-person gathering with live streaming for global access.
Submission Guidelines
Limit Submissions: To ensure thorough consideration, please submit no more than three talk proposals.
Creative ideas are encouraged. The goal is for attendees to come away with new skills and insights.
Session Formats
- Campfire Chat (30-60 minutes): Small, informal, discussion-driven sessions held in the WordCamp US Lounge; perfect for networking, collaborative problem-solving, and exploring new ideas. These sessions are low-tech (no slides; only flip-chart paper and markers). Note: Facilitating a Campfire Chat requires a unique set of skills, distinct from those needed for traditional presentations.
- Traditional Session (45 minutes): Deep dive into the latest trends, skills, strategies and concepts in web development, design, enterprise, eCommerce, and more.
- Workshop (90 minutes to half a day): Hands-on, interactive learning experiences designed for deep engagement and practical application. Length will vary based on the topic.
Have a unique idea? If your session concept doesn’t fit these formats, we’re still eager to hear it! Creativity is key to a diverse and dynamic program.
Your Submission Matters
Every proposal enriches our understanding of the community’s interests and achievements. While we can’t accept every talk, your submission plays a crucial role in shaping our event. The WCUS organizing team is made up of volunteers from across North America who want to discover your interests and experiences.
