Organizers are the behind the scenes magicians who make WordCamp US happen – and we need you! If you are passionate about WordPress, WordCamps, or events help us make WCUS 2025 a success.
Who can apply?
This year we have removed all location and experience requirements! We are looking to welcome new faces into the fold that will bring a variety of skills to the organizing team. We expect organizers to:
- You have some overlap with the Americas timezone in order to coordinate with your squad
- You commit to adhering to our Code of Conduct and treat one another fairly and respectfully
- You have a WordPress.org profile (if you don’t you can create one here)
- Understand and commit to the WordCamp Organizer, Speaker, Sponsor and Volunteer agreement
What kind of commitment is required?
You will be expected to:
- Manage tasks specific to your squad. Each squad requires a different level of involvement but we expect a max of 4-5 hours per week at peak times
- Participate in weekly or bi-weekly squad planning sessions
- Attend WCUS in-person from August 26-29, 2025 (some folks will be needed on August 25th)
How to apply?
- Review the squad descriptions, and identify where your skills would best be applied.
