We are excited to introduce a new part of WordCamp US 2024: Showcase Day. On Wednesday, September 18, WCUS will spotlight the most innovative and exciting uses of WordPress.

What is Showcase Day?

Showcase Day is an opportunity for WCUS attendees to see the breadth of possibilities WordPress offers, from high-profile, large-scale projects to niche, creative implementations that might cater to specific interests. NASA’s keynote address and technical workshop at WCUS 2023 set a high bar for both inspiration and skill-building. This year, we aim to broaden our horizons even further.

Showcase Day Highlights

Innovative Use Cases: Showcase Day presentations highlight the best of what WordPress can do, from groundbreaking features on a global news site to innovative business integrations.

Technical Deep Dives: Some sessions offer behind-the-scenes looks that satisfy our technically inclined attendees. These sessions reveal the “how” behind the “wow,” offering insights into the development and implementation process.

Tools and Partnerships: Showcase Day is also a platform to highlight exciting WordPress tools and the collaborations that bring these projects to life and help people take WordPress to the next level.

Note: Showcase Day submissions are now closed.

Why Participate?

Visibility: Showcase Day is a prime opportunity for exposure within the WordPress community and beyond. Your work will be front and center, demonstrating your contributions to pushing the WordPress project forward.

Engagement: Engage with a broad audience of web professionals and WordPress enthusiasts, from developers and designers to content creators and business owners. This is your chance to inspire, educate, and connect.

Future Opportunities: A successful Showcase Day celebrates current achievements and sets the stage for future innovations. Your participation could pave the way for continued involvement in WordCamp US and the broader WordPress project.

Submission Guidelines

Branding: While we welcome the spotlight on your tools and partnerships, we want the focus to be on WordPress and the part it plays in raising the quality of the web. To ensure suitability for publishing recordings on WordPress.tv, the level of branding should be restrained. Specific details will be made available to all accepted submissions.

Content: Submissions should focus on showcasing innovative uses of WordPress and providing insights into the technology and strategy behind them.

We are committed to making Showcase Day a highlight of WordCamp US 2024 and an opportunity to highlight the versatility and power of WordPress. If you’re doing cool, cutting-edge work with WordPress, we want to hear from you.

Showcase submissions are now closed.
