Since she joined the community, she has taken on the challenge of both a WordCamp London 2019 and a WordFest 2021 organizer, as well as contributing to her local Meetup. She is a WordPress.org Training CTeam Rep and involved in the ongoing development of the Learn WordPress resource. She was also on the cohort for the WordPress Release Squad for 5.6. Hauwa contributes to the Training, Marketing and Accessibility Teams for WordPress.org. After discovering WordPress, she is the process of transferring her skills from a career in project management to web development.
