(We\u2019re using the term \u201ccomputer\u201d loosely here, it was a TRS-80 Model 1) Since then his life has never been the same. He graduated from TRS-80s to Commodores and eventually to IBM PCs. For the past 15 years, Cal has worked with PHP and MySQL on Linux, OSX, and Windows. He has built a variety of projects ranging in size from simple web pages to multi-million dollar web applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When not banging his head on his monitor, attempting a blood sacrifice to get a particular piece of code working, he enjoys building and managing development teams using his widely imitated but never patented management style of \u201cmanagement by wandering around\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These days, when not working with PHP, Cal can be found working on a variety of projects like&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/daycamp4developers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Day Camp 4 Developers<\/a>. He gives motivational talks to developers around the world. If you happen to meet him at a conference, don\u2019t be afraid to buy him a shot of Rum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cal is based in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/West+Palm+Beach,+FL\/@26.7420741,-80.1990804,12z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x88d8d5ccb595adc1:0x15efc7b51fe16bde!8m2!3d26.7153424!4d-80.0533746\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">West Palm Beach, FL \u2013 US<\/a>&nbsp;where he is happily married to wife 1.35,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/kathyevans.biz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the lovely and talented Kathy<\/a>.
