Good news: we’ve decided to provide coffee at WCUS this year! What? There was coffee at WCUS in Nashville? I didn’t notice because I was too busy drinking the most delicious coffee in Nashville while doing research for this blog post last year.
I’m sure the coffee at America’s Center Convention Complex will be fine. But you’ll probably still catch me sneaking away from the venue to get my fix at one of these delectable java joints.
Sump Coffee
Location: 3700 S Jefferson Ave, St. Louis, MO 63118
Opens: 8 AM (9 AM weekends)
Website: https://www.sumpcoffee.com
Description: Sump Coffee may be the farthest shop from the conference center that made it on this list. But when I asked my family what coffee shops we want to return to, Sump was at the top of all of our lists. As good as the coffee and espresso are at all of the other places you’re about to read about, somehow they’re even better here.
Blueprint Coffee
Locations:
6225 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63130
4206 Watson Rd, St. Louis, MO 63109
Opens: 7 AM every day
Website: https://blueprintcoffee.com
Description: Blueprint is one of the few places in town where you can attend a cupping to learn what makes their beans special. The baristas know their stuff and can help you find the right flavor to fit your palate. And if you’re feeling peckish, their food is excellent, too.
Catalyst Coffee Bar
Location: 1223 Pine St, St. Louis, MO 63103
Opens: 8 AM (closed Sunday)
Website: http://www.catalystcoffeebar.org/
Description: You’ll find great-tasting coffee, lots of seating and beautiful (local) art in this hip coffee bar. They take care to source their beans from roasters across the US, but all of their pastries are baked locally. If you can walk 8 blocks, this could be the perfect place for an offsite meeting.
Rise Coffee
Location: 4176 Manchester Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110
Opens: 6:30 AM (8 AM on Sundays)
Website: http://risecoffeestl.com/
Description: This neighborhood coffee shop is beloved by locals because of their focus on building community. Just because they put people first doesn’t mean they skimp on the coffee that they roast! If you’re looking for food, Rise Coffee has great options for breakfast and lunch fare.
Park Avenue Coffee
Location: 417 N 10th St, St. Louis, MO 63101
Opens: 7 AM (7:30 AM on Sunday)
Website: https://parkavenuecoffee.com/
Description: Don’t have time to go across town for coffee? Park Avenue Coffee isn’t at the top of the list, but it’s just two blocks from the convention center to the southwest. While you’re there, pick up a Saint Louis favorite: gooey butter cake!

As we all know, St. Louis is very well known for excellent craft beer breweries but what a lot of people don’t know is that the city is full of great coffee houses. And many even roast their own beans. I hope that while people are here for WCUS, they’ll get to visit the city’s very cool neighborhoods.
