Contributor Day

Contributor day is a time to give back to WordPress and meet the people responsible for what we have today. You don’t have to be a developer or designer even know anything about WordPress to participate. Participating is an excellent way to learn more and contribute to the project.

You don’t have to sign up to attend, but we ask that you update your registration to say what team you think you may want to start with. Not sure which team is right for you? The Marketing team famously has a great onboarding process for beginners and is often a good place to start. And we encourage everyone to get up and check out other teams, so you don’t have to stay where you start the day.

How to Update Your Contributor Day Team Preference

If You’re Registered for WCUS

Find your WCUS ticket confirmation email.
Click the link to edit your registration.
Click the “Edit information” link.
Edit your contributor day field.
Don’t forget to click the “Save attendee information” button at the bottom.

If You’re Not Registered for WCUS

You can select your contributor day preference when you purchase a ticket. But as we said, you can change your mind and participate on any team.
